Kent Nagano & The symphonie fantastique

Violinist Vadim Repin will rejoin the OSM in Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, one of Jascha Heifetz’s favorite works, which evokes both Russia and Spain. The concert, under the direction of Kent Nagano, will open with the prelude to Wagner’s Flying Dutchman and conclude with Berlioz’s celebrated Symphonie fantastique, a revolutionary masterwork and true orchestral display case, which has earned the OSM numerous awards.
