Over the past 154
years, Pointe-à-Callière's Port Symphonies have become a true Montréal
tradition, filling the air with the joyful sounds of this unusual outdoor
concert. Each year, a composer is invited to create a piece coaxing music from
the horns of ships overwintering in the Old Port, near the Museum. Train
whistles, drums and a variety of other "instruments" join in,
delighting crowds of enthusiastic listeners.
