The poetry of The Little Prince is universal, and its deep humanity appeals to people everywhere. As does dance. With body and soul, Dutch choreographer Didy Veldman delves into Saint-Exupéry’s legendary tale to capture its essence, and to express it in a free and exuberant adaptation. In this new work created directly with the dancers of Les Grands Ballets, we find Veldman’s inventiveness, humour, explosive physicality, theatricality and sense of climax. An initiatory voyage, it is illustrated with a choreographic language that unhesitatingly questions the relationships of individuals in society.
