In recent years, contemporary art has taken a particular interest in the animal world. This interest has reignited debate over the evolution of natural history and, above all, over our relationship to animals and to nature, which has undergone unprecedented ecological upheavals. Titled Zoo and referencing the study and representation of the animal kingdom, this international group exhibition offers an opportunity to re-examine just what shapes our experience and understanding of nature and animals: mythology, natural science, ideology and even, increasingly critically, the economy.
