Exit your cocoon and head to the Space for Life, where at the Montréal Insectarium, the largest museum devoted to insects in North America, you can experience the champions of nature firsthand. With your family, observe the fascinating work of leafcutter ants in action, listen to the unique sounds of the cicada, and enjoy distinguishing stick insects from leaves in their vivarium. The delicacy, beauty, and ingenuity of a collection of some 160,000 naturalized insect specimens and nearly 100 living species await your arrival.

September 4 to December 3: Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on December 23, 24 and 25); Schedule 2014: January 1 to May 14, Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (open Monday, March 4 and April 21); May 15 to September 4, daily, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; September 5 to November 2, daily, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; November 3 to December 31, Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on December 24 and 25).
