Overview

By bike, on foot or by boat, visitors to the Lachine Canal can experience a break in nature just a stone's throw from the urban bustle. Located in Montréal’s southwest, the canal is a veritable link between the city and its natural surroundings. A 14.5 km route between the Old Port to Lac Saint-Louis, a lush park, a waterway punctuated with five locks, shorelines flanked by industrial remains, and a varied calendar of activities make this emblematic site a place to share with family and friends.

Schedule

The national historic site is open daily from sunrise to 11 p.m. The path is maintained from April 15th to November 15th.
