For more than 20 years, the Agora de la danse has established itself in the Québec cultural landscape as the prime locale for creators and fans of contemporary dance. While promoting creation, experimentation, and innovation in dance, the Agora is also deeply involved in the cultural life of the local community, hosting events from other disciplines, including the visual arts, literature, and contemporary music. With help from companies and choreographers with whom it has developed strong ties over the years, the Agora de la danse has quickly become, on both national and international levels, a thriving centre of contemporary dance.
