Set in the middle of the Saint Lawrence River, nestled between Montréal’s South Shore and the Old Port, this green island oasis is a haven for sports, recreation, nature and culture. The Aquatic Complex includes three large heated outdoor pools, open all summer long, and water games for kids. The island is also home to the ever-popular La Ronde amusement park and two museums: the Biosphere’s Environment Museum and the Stewart Museum. A network of multi-disciplinary paths wind their way through this lush natural park, accentuated by some dozen public artworks along the way. The island welcomes large outdoor concerts in the summer as well as major events in the winter, including the Fête des neiges.
