Located in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, at the corner of Sainte-Catherine Street and the new Place des Festivals, Maison du Festival Rio Tinto Alcan is devoted to the dissemination and promotion of jazz and musical practice at large. It houses the Astral, a multipurpose hall, Le Balmoral bistro terrace, the TD Gallery Lounge, dedicated to the dissemination of visual arts, a gift shop with souvenirs of the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and FrancoFolies de Montréal and an audiovisual documentation centre for the preservation and protection of the Festival’s musical heritage.
