This street was also known as Canada’s “Wall Street”. Its heyday in the 1920s is reflected in the Royal Bank’s former head office at 360 Saint-Jacques Street, erected in 1928, next to the attractive Molson Bank, built in 1866. With its 23 storeys, it was the tallest building in the British Empire when it was erected.
