Every year, MMFA visitors enjoy a unique encyclopedic collections and original temporary exhibitions, which combine artistic disciplines (fine arts, music, film, fashion and design). The year 2011 marked the opening of the Claire and Marc Bourgie Pavilion, devoted to Québec and Canadian art, and the Bourgie room, a concert hall incorporating a rare collection of Tiffany stained glass. With its other pavilions dedicated to world cultures, ancient and contemporary European art, decorative arts, and design, the MMFA also now integrates music into the appreciation of the visual arts. A pavilion committed to ancient masters will open its doors by 2017.
