Cirque du Soleil's newest production, Amaluna, directed by renowned American stage and opera director, Diane Paulus, invites the audience to a mysterious island governed by goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon. In the wake of a storm caused by Prospera, the queen of the island, a group of young men arrive, triggering an epic, emotional story of love between Prospera’s daughter and a brave young suitor. Amaluna honours femininity, renewal, rebirth, and balance, and is Paulus’s first collaboration with Cirque du Soleil.
