The BIennale de GIgue COntemporaine (or the contemporary jig biennial) is a specialized presentation in which traditional dancers re-invent the contemporary jig as a form in continuous mutation, breaking convention to bear witness to the 21st century. Performers speak a bold language of steps in a colourful street dance composed of uprooted bodies, unbridled triplets, and jigged landings. This is the art of living the jig.
