A sparkling cocktail of samba, hip-hop, capoeira, bossa nova and electronic music, these dance pieces by Mourad Merzouki are to be enjoyed to the hilt! Founder of Compagnie Käfig and director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Créteil et du Val-de-Marne, the young choreographer pushes his athletic style to the extreme, and his exciting work has led to invitations to major international festivals. For this new venture into Canada, Merzouki and his troupe present Correria and Agwa, two pieces chockfull of energy and invention. They are performed by talented and gifted young Brazilian dancers.
