2010 was Montreal’s Year of Glass, and for that occasion the Musée des Hospitalières de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Montreal joined museums and galleries of the city with a display of glass objects dedicated to healthcare. Non reactive and easy to sterilize, this material is found in hospitals and laboratories. Objects both unusual and beautiful have been created for fields as varied as ophthalmology, pharmacy, surgery and healthcare in general.

Mid-June to mid-October: Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Monday. Mid-October to mid-June: Wednesday to Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on Monday and Tuesday.
