One of the most sought-after Québec vocal artists on the national and international scenes, Marc Hervieux has sung in the great opera houses of the world and been the guest of renowned orchestras. As much at home in the classical repertoire as in musical comedy or pop music and winner of a Félix award in 2010 in the “Classical Vocal” category, here he will be performing an anthology of Italian arias. Conductor Carlo Rizzari, who works closely with the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, will conduct two symphonic poems of Respighi’s, showcasing the brilliance of the OSM, as well as the overture to Verdi’s Sicilian Vespers.
