Invaluable witnesses to their era, painters in Montréal's Jewish community offer unique insight into the atmosphere that reigned in the city between 1930 and 1948, evoking both the history of the working class and the misery of the Great Depression. The exhibition reflects the rich and distinctive artistic contribution of these individuals through a selection of 80 works organized around four themes: the city, people in the city, the war and the art milieu.
