Overview

Geneviève Soly continues her exploration of Christoph Graupner’s harpsichord music through the Livre de clavecin of the countesses of Epstein, Luise Charlotte (1727-1753) and Sophie Frederike (1730-1770). Their music books were copied for educational purposes between 1742 and 1744. With a talent for music, like their father and several members of the ruling family, the young women also devoted themselves to composing; two of the younger sister’s minuets are scheduled for this recital.
