For more than 40 years, the Théâtre Denise-Pelletier has played a key role in introducing young people to theatre and has been almost singlehandedly responsible for the development of an entire generation of Québec theatre-goers. It is committed to presenting the great masterworks of world drama and is also a teaching and training facility. The company, while still favouring students, also draws a percentage of adults whose first theatrical experience had probably been at the NCT.
