With a single stop in Montreal, this exhibition includes approximately thirty rural and water scenes grouped either by subject or by pictorial technique. The practice of painter Marc-Aurèle Fortin (1888-1970) can be associated with the tradition of his thematic choices while his formal choices express a certain modernity. An exclusive selection of Fortin's works from the Université de Montréal art collection is being presented in conjunction with this exhibition.
Particularity
A guided tour of the exhibition accompanied by Ms. Sarah Mainguy, guest curator, takes place, in French, on Sunday, September 30 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. This free activity is offered as part of the Journées de la culture.
