Overview

Based on the 17th century novel by Aphra Behn, Oroonoko tells the incredible story of an African Prince sold into slavery and the extraordinary woman who dared tell his story. Paul Van Dyck's vibrant new adaptation not only delves into the Shakespearean-esque adventures of its title character but also dramatizes the story's original author, a woman whose views, manners, and professions were way ahead of her time.
