A new force on the U.K. dance scene, Hofesh Shechter made London his home base in 2002. In less than five years, the Israeli-born artist has left his indelible mark on British contemporary dance. A former dancer with the Batsheva Dance Company, and also a percussionist and composer, Shechter has staged highly original choreographies, intensely physical and dramatic, in perfect symbiosis with the music he composes.
