From the moccasin to the silk slipper, this educational exhibition traces the history of shoes in Québec with a glance at 21st-century fashion. In 17th-century New France, the type of shoes worn by the bourgeoisie was influenced by the French fashion, while the average peasant adopted Amerindian traditions and wore moccasin-like footwear. Between these two worlds, a whole array of models will be created and this exhibit will allow you to appreciate some of the nicest examples.
