Halloween at Space for Life (October 3-31, 2013): The Botanical Gardens and the Insectarium are definitely the places for kids to see and be seen during Halloween. There will be spooky activities at the Insectarium, plus The Great Pumpkin Ball which features Pépo the Pumpkin, Esmeralda the Friendly Witch, and Marie the market gardener animating activities and games. Jack O’Lantern Halloween

Jack O’Lantern at the Point-à-Callière (October 19-20 & 26-27, 2013): Halloween doesn’t have to be all about running around collecting candy. At the Point-a-Calliere museum kids can get a fun and interactive history lesson on the cultural origins of this spooky day, and why they’re even guising in the first place! Details here.

Phantoms of the Orchestra (October 20, 2013): The Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal is bringing a musical and theatrical event to Place des Arts for all ages to discover the haunting beauty of classical music. Halloween FrightFest at La Ronde (October 2013): Take a trip on La Ronde’s “Monster” Roller Coaster for the most frightening five minutes of your life, plus enjoy the creepy midway featuring zombies, vampires, and giant rats. Railway Ghosts (October 19-31, 2013): If you’ve never been to Montreal’s railway museum Exporail, than during their Halloween event “Railway Ghosts” is definitely the time to check it out.
