The month of March may come in like a lion and leave like a lamb, but this April, Montréal’s life at night is going all-lion, all the time…
If you’re feeling a little electro, certified next-big-thing La Roux play Les Saints (http://www.saintsmontreal.com/) on the 4th. Thunderheist, the MTL-Toronto duo who were the talk of this year’s SXSW fest, plays Club Soda (http://www.clubsoda.ca/) on April 11th alongside the indefatigable Peer Pressure crew.
There are also some great local shows, like the incredible Wolf Parade spin-off Handsome Furs, who touch down at Il Motore (http://www.casadelpopolo.com/contents/ilmotoreListings or http://www.myspace.com/ilmotore) on the 3rd. Plus not one, but two (15th and 23rd) chances to see Quebec’s indietronic new-kids Beast at Club Soda.
And if that somehow wasn’t enough, the quiet beautiful folk of Ray Montagne enraptures Metropolis (http://www.montrealmetropolis.ca) on the 14th and the captivating white-girl soul of Adele takes over the same venue on the 28th.
But, if all you want to do is dance, dance, dance, there’s the massive Bal en Blanc (http://productionsplayground.com/Bal-en-Blanc-15-FR.htm), the all-night event where thousands of revelers dressed in amazing/at times ridiculous all-white outfits, which takes over le Palais de Congrès on April 12th.
