Art with a twist of HOPE

We gays like our art. And what’s better than scoring an exclusive piece of art while supporting community-driven initiatives? Nothing.

Check out the details of this art auction.

AIDS Community Care Montréal has recently launched Project Hope (Health. Optimism. Prevention. Education.), a three-week International Art Exhibition and fundraising auction. Artists from throughout Canada, the United States and United Kingdom have come together to share their personal interpretation of hope.

There are over 80 works from more then 50 artists ranging from $75 – $18,000, from the likes of Tom Bianchi, Gustavo Hannecke, Issa (formerly known as Jane Siberry) and Scarlet Raven. Which piece will you choose?

But wait! Is your big romantic Montréal weekend not until June? Absentee bid forms are available to allow buyers to place their bids from outside of the city. So if the price is right, your new piece of art will be waiting patiently for your arrival.

The exhibit is on display and preview until Saturday, April 11th at Galerie Dentaire and the auction is at Cabaret Lion d’Or on Wed, April 15.

Proceeds from this event will go directly to AIDS Community Care Montreal, which recently recognized its 20th year in response to the HIV/AIDS crisis.
