Rarely have I been so excited and felt so much raw and positive energy in my life! Why? Because my fellow Quebecker, Guy Laliberté – who is also the founder of Cirque du Soleil – is currently billions of miles away, in space, getting ready for a massive global event called Poetic Social Mission. To be held on October 9th, the event is aiming to raise awareness about the issues facing our planet’s clean water supply!

Plus size fashion shows were at the forefront of New York’s Fashion Week last month. For its November issue, Glamour Magazine is honouring the topic with a beautiful spread of seven plus size models. Since it seems the industry is finally starting to understand that not all women are a size 0, I decided to head to Oppen’s, one of Montreal’s preeminent shopping destinations for plus size fashion.
Tatiana Poblah was smart when she chose “I love Tati B.” as her business slogan. The only thing is that “In Love” doesn’t even start to describe how head-over-heels I am for the work of this Montreal fashion illustrator, with a boutique on Pratt Avenue in swanky Outremont.
The Magic of Lanterns at Montreal’s Botanical Gardens is one of my favourite ways to celebrate fall in the city. Imagine walking through the most stunning Chinese garden at night, surrounded by more than 700 colourful lanterns, with the sounds of traditional Chinese instruments in the fresh autumn breeze. Just the top of Montreal’s Olympic Stadium rising through the trees is there to remind you that you are right in the heart of the city!

Over the past few weeks, my colleague Brendan Murphy has been talking to you about all the variety of activities one can do at POP MONTREAL.
Wondering where to go for delicious martinis and live music in Montreal? I got two words for you: Jello Bar! Now, I usually leave to my colleague Brendan to fill out in on MONTREAL NIGHTLIFE, but I love Jello bar so much, I simply couldn’t hold back on this one. Plus, it makes for a great girls night out!
The last time I went to Atwater Market, I discovered Lili & Oli, a small café on Notre-Dame Street with free Wi-Fi. I thought I’d let you know about it since it’s always nice to find a cozy place for a little computer down-time. Especially one with great coffee…
Montreal. September 19, 2009. It was a wedding. Five hours earlier, I had slipped into my dress and heels and I was now strategically moving through the room to avoid as many potential footsteps as possible. If the bride asked me to accompany her to the restroom one more time, I swear, something bad was bound to happen…
The Dalai Lama will be giving a public talk in Montreal on October 3rd! I’m really excited about this. The last time he came was in 1993 and now it’s finally my turn to experience the wisdom of the great Tibetan Buddhist Teacher!
