One of the best things to do in Montreal during the months of September and October is apple picking. Yet getting to the closest orchard can be quite a challenge for tourist. If you tell me I have to rent a car, get a map, drive an hour, go up a mountain, turn left after the lights, which is after the stop sign, which is the 5th right after the gas station, chances are… I’m not going.

The Orange Julep is as good as it gets in terms of roadside attractions and world-famous beverages. Built more than 60 years ago by Harmas Gibeau, a man who dreamed of living in a giant three-storey orange with his wife and kids, the Orange Julep has become a real Montreal institution, serving what is in my opinion the most luscious, sweet and creamy delicacy in the history of orange juice. What to do in Montreal? Relax, obviously! Being the romantic laid-back city that it is, you won’t be surprised to learn that there are plenty of amazing spas in Montreal. Lucky me, my job entitles trying them all and telling you about my personal faves!
Summer is coming to an end. Children are back to school and you’ve come to terms with saying farewell to your favourite pair of sandals. But rest assured, there are still a bunch of festivals, activities and amazing things to do in Montreal!

Montreal’s most innovative designers and artists are coming together for Fantasme. And as if the pot needed sweetnening, this one-night fashion show is taking place in Old Montreal’s most vibrant art centers: The Darling Foundry. Trust me on this one, if you’re into fashion and the emerging art scene, or if you consider yourself a trendsetter, you cannot miss this event!
Last night I went to try a new training program at MAA, a downtown gym in Montréal. The program is called Jukari, and for some reason every time I tell my friends about it, they tell me What? Drew Carey? No. JU-KA-RI. Created and developed in Montreal by Cirque du Soleil and Reebok, it makes use of a trapeze to tone your bod just in time for summer.
