Confiserie Louise Décarie is a real Montreal gem. Somewhat hidden on Saint-Denis Street, this cute little sweet shop is challenging the tooth fairy on a daily basis with exquisite candy, gourmet fudge, chocolates and handmade French confections Marie-Antoinette only dreamed about.
The cliché expression “Like a kid in a candy store” never rang truer for me than here. See for yourself:
Of all the amazing, cavity-provoking temptations in the store, my favourite is the dark chocolate filled with maple butter, made locally by L’arbre à sucre. They’re perfect on sunny days and when you feel like celebrating, and just as good on rainy days, when you need a sweet treat.
