The Black & Blue Festival features about 60 activities for the gay community and its friends.
Montreal’s sprightly Black & Blue festival pays homage to the future for their 2014 edition by throwing back to Fritz Lang’s 1927 silent sci-fi masterpiece Metropolis. Join the all-night dance movement this Thanksgiving Weekend (Oct 9-13, 2014) at the Palais des congres de Montreal…
The Black & Blue festival is an entire weekend devoted to expression. It invites people from around the world to convene for a good cause: Supporting the BBCM on their mission to fight AIDS around the world. Tickets to the main BLACK & BLUE event on Sunday, October 12 are $95 for regular, and $120 for VIP. There are also two weekend passes available: The Weekend VIP Pass ($250), which includes VIP access to a selection of main events, and the TOP VIP Festival Pass includes access to all official festival events. Find out more details about the tickets and weekend passes here.
The Main Event
Black & Blue’s main event on Sunday, October 12, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal will be a celebration of love, art, music and expressing yourself through movement. Starting from 10 p.m. and going into the early hours of Thanksgiving Monday, top DJs from across the world will be spinning for your pleasure: Pascal B (Montréal), Philip White (Montréal), Stephan Grondin (Montréal), Bent Collective (Danny Verde from Italy and Steven Redant from Spain), Pagano (UK/Italy), Tom Stephan (UK/USA) and COYU (Spain).
Mingling around the main Black & Blue event are official parties like the Jock Ball on October 9, Bal en Cuir (Leather Ball) on October 10, Bears & Friends on October 11, and the T-Dance on October 12. For every party, there’s also a pre and post party. Then after all that there’s the official recovery party at Apollon on October 13, and the closing party at Cabaret Mado on October 14. Check out the official Black & Blue 2014 magazine for the whole Black & Blue weekend schedule. (Including where to find the pre-post-recovery party.)
