  • MONTREAL FASHION SHOW: FANTASME!

    Posted by

Montreal’s most innovative designers and artists are coming together for Fantasme. And as if the pot needed sweetnening, this one-night fashion show is taking place in Old Montreal’s most vibrant art centers: The Darling Foundry. Trust me on this one, if you’re into fashion and the emerging art scene, or if you consider yourself a trendsetter, you cannot miss this event!

Fantasme is an artistic event that reflects the very essence of Montreal’s unique blend of the arts, culture and fashion scenes. Taking place on August 20, it will bring together designers ANDREW LY and MELISSA MATOS in an outdoor fashion event, as part of the Darling Thursdays series. Unique, innovative, creative and inspiring, this is going to be an event that breathes Montreal-ness.
Now, you might be wondering “What are Darling Thursdays?” Well, the Darling Foundry is simultaneously one of Montreal’s most innovative art galleries and a government-run art center. And Thursdays happen to be your chance to get a great overview of the city’s art and fashion cultures while mixing with locals who work in the industry.
After the fashion show, the street will be transformed in an intimate open-air party with DJs and a bar.
I will obviously be there, so make you sure you pop by and say hi!

That morning we packed our bags and sought out crepes for breakfast before heading to the station. I cried while packing because I didn't want to leave - the four days we had spent in the city had been perfect. We decided to take one last stroll while waiting for our train. We walked out to the street only to discover it was closed off for the Pride Parade! I took a few minutes to snap some shots of everyone waiting for the parade to begin.
