Hunting for Vintage Treasures in Mile End
Posted on April 26, 2009 by Guest / Invité.
Mile End is to Montréal what Willamsburg is to New York: our city’s hipster hub and playground for everything fresh. On the sidewalk, you will probably pass an indie rocker, a writer, and a harmonica player, followed by a Hasidic Jew, his wife, and their babies. That’s normal.
As I was looking for unique vintage items (my favourite), I bumped into my friend Mike, who was walking home from the laundromat and he kindly offered to film me. (Shopping solo while filming yourself and talking alone does feel a bit weird, so I gladly accepted his offer.)
Check out my video to see all the treasures I found!
Mile End is my hood, and my hood is where it’s at! The area is filled with little boutiques selling all kinds of goodies, from art, to interior decoration, second-hand clothing and local designers. And so, I went shopping!
Have a look at some of my favourite clothing stores in the area!
