Easter is around the corner, and you’re going to need more than a chocolate bunny to keep you energized. Here’s a taste of the many Montréal homolicious activities happening over the Long weekend.
If you are coming into town a bit early, check out the very first installment of HANK on April 9th. Coined as “A queer Rock ’n Roll night outside of the Village,” this is sure to be an evening of healthy debauchery set to an inter-decade, eclectic music mix, such as David Bowie, George Michael, MIA and Hot Chip. Expect a mixed crowd. $3 Entry. 1428 Stanley Street (Peel Metro Station). Party starts at 9 PM.
The weekend continues with a couple of athletic events for all you sporty queers out there. The 11th Annual Odyssée volleyball tournament will have gays from Canada, the States and Europe spiking them balls. Click here for info on last minute team or individual registrations. More interested in slipping and sliding? Montréal will also host the Canadian Gay National Curling Championship (CGNCC), April 10, 11 and 12. For more info contact Roger Noël.
If new urban culture, music, fashion, dance and design are more your style, then check out the infamous Bal en Blanc. Awarded “Party on the Edge” by edge.com, the main event on Sunday, April 12th is guaranteed to have large-scale installations, a dance floor of 15000+ and delicious beats from the likes of Armin, Axwell and Ana Paula.
