Using a red hot #MTLMOMENTS Ferrari as bait, we pulled off a specular Montreal nightlife stunt by surprising three lucky duos from Toronto with an impromptu trip to Montreal for a wild weekend of food, drinks, dancing and fun…
The winners (Brian & Timea, Meghan & Kate, Christopher & Christopher) got immediately whisked away on an Air Canada flight to Montreal- once they landed in la belle province they were put up in a luxury hotel, treated to a gourmet meal, and got VIP access to the city’s hottest club.
Luxury Accommodation in Montreal: Brian & Timea checked into the Chateau Versailles, Chris & Chris to the Fairmount Queen Elizabeth, and Megan & Kate found their way to Hotel Place D’Armes. They only had a few moments to enjoy their suites, take a quick nap, and get dressed…Because their night of wining, dining and dancing in Montreal was set to begin!
The Pre-Dinner Drinks: Nothing gets the gears greased up like a good “5 à 7” pre-dinner drink. In Montreal, it serves as the amuse-bouche for the entire evening. Brian & Timea hit the popular British-style pub Burgundy Lion, Meghan & Kate went to chic Suite 701 in the lobby of the Place D’Armes Hotel, and the two Chris’ checked out the swanky Les Voyageurs bar in the Queen Elizabeth hotel.
3 Restaurants, 3 Meals, 3 Montreal Moments: As contest winners, they were all treated to a fine meal at a few of the most in-demand restaurants in the city. The rustic Italian with a glamorous twist Buonanotte hosted Chris & Chris, La Fabrique Bistro served Meghan & Kate next to the open concept kitchen, while Brian & Timea indulged in fine Portuguese at Helena. So far they’ve experienced the wining, the dining, but what about the dancing?
Dancing at New City Gas: Located in the up-and-coming Griffintown neighbourhood, New City Gas is a place of worship for lovers of electronic music. After getting their fill at dinner, the six Torontonians converged on the dance floor for some midnight cardio to the funkiest beats in Montreal. Ever danced so hard a second appetite is worked up? Stop. Poutine time…
Late Night Poutine at La Banquise: Scarfing down a poutine after the club is a rite of passage. Didn’t you know calories don’t count between the hours of 2 and 4AM? After New City Gas, the six Torontonians—now all new friends—cabbed it up to the mecca of fries, cheese curds, and gravy: La Banquise. “Table pour six SVP! And a glass of water…”
After a fun night, the three duos retired to their hotels to rest their tired eyes and aching feet. They all recharged and had the next day to explore Montreal before returning home to Toronto. There are more #MTLMOMENTS nightlife videos to come, and more contests to be won, so stay tuned!
