The Great Canadian Hockey Rivalry #MTLvsOTT

Nothing says spring like Stanley Cup fever! Tonight, the Montréal Canadiens go head-to-head against the Ottawa Senators in Game 1 of the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. To mark the start of the battle for hockey’s Holy Grail, Tourisme Montréal and Ottawa Tourism are throwing down the gauntlet in a friendly Habs versus Sens wager. Here’s the deal: Whichever city loses this round has to send a “congratulations” gift of local gourmet goodies to the winning city’s tourism bureau. In the same spirit as the bet between Montréal Mayor Denis Coderre and Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, the wager is a fun way for each tourism board to show their pride in their team and in their city.
