  • VALENTINE'S DAY IN MONTREAL

    Posted by

Oh Saint Valentine’s Day. Intimate candle-lit dinners, slow and seductive gazes over the rim of a wine glass, the smoldering glow of a crackling fireplace, the delicate smell of rose petals as snow slowly falls in love with the ground… Montreal has always been a hopeless romantic, here’s how to make the most of it on February 14…

  • MONTREAL'S SNOW VILLAGE TAKES OVER PARC JEAN-DRAPEAU

    Posted by

Until March 31, Parc Jean Drapeau will be home to Montreal’s most wonderfully wintery attraction, the Snow Village. In fact, the Snow Village is an hommage to the city itself, boasting icy reproductions of Montreal’s building and monuments, not to mention a hotel, restaurant, bar, convention centre, chapel and, fittingly, a whole bunch of igloos. An obvious must-see for locals and tourists alike. To make reservations, visit the Snow Village website or call (514) 788-2181.

  • LATE NIGHT CUISINE AT NOUVEAU PALAIS

    Posted by

The old Nouveau Palais was a sleepy, old-timey diner on Bernard street in Montreal’s Mile End neighbourhood, a basic bacon, eggs and late-night poutine affair. But the new Nouveau Palais is under different management and the times they are a changin’. The latest incarnation of this storied diner has everyone buzzing because it offers restaurant goers the charm of the classic diner experience with a brand new menu that comes to life at night… … More

  • MONTREAL'S BEST CHARCUTERIE

    Posted by

Charcuterie. The word is music to the ears of any meat-lover. It comes from Chair-Cuite, the French term for “cooked meat”, and is used to refer to any kind of preserved meat: sausages, pates, terrines, bacons, you name it. Most often, in France, charcuterie refers to pork products, but not solely, and in Montreal, the most famous form of charcuterie is our peppered beef brisket, otherwise known as Montreal Smoked Meat… … More

  • MONTREAL'S BEST HOT CHOCOLATE

    Posted by

The chill is in the air, and with that comes the desire for hot chocolate. It’s primal. Luckily, Montreal’s old-world/new world vibe makes it a great place to sip on choco – you get all the tradition of a Belgian or Swiss cup of cocoa goodness, with rock-and-roll elements such as salty caramel or chile for the adventurous palate. Here are some of our favourite places to stop off for a rich, unguent cup of chocolat chaud… … More

The Montréal Buzz posted a photo:	The beauty of Montreal is found in the diversity of the people, the historic landmarks, the arts and culture that bring together residents and returning tourists, and surely, the ever-glowing lights. That morning we packed our bags and sought out crepes for breakfast before heading to the station. I cried while packing because I didn't want to leave - the four days we had spent in the city had been perfect. We decided to take one last stroll while waiting for our train. We walked out to the street only to discover it was closed off for the Pride Parade! I took a few minutes to snap some shots of everyone waiting for the parade to begin.
