Festimania, a new collective and comprehensive website dedicated to helping everyone get the most out of this city’s festivals, gives us the goods on each festival – and gives us free stuff too with the Festipass+… Since there are so many shows to see at Montreal festivals in July and August, sometimes making the choice of what to see and what to skip can be a daunting task. The information umbrella of Festimania takes a lot of the guesswork out, providing detailed descriptions of shows, breaking down the biggest festivals by date and show type, and serving as a one-stop-shop for buying tickets. The festivals covered by Festimania include Montreal Complètement Cirque (July 5-15), Just for Laughs Festival and Zoofest (throughout July), L’International des Feux Loto-Québec (June 30-August 3), Osheaga (August 3-5), Festival International Nuits d’Afrique (July 10-22), MEG (July 26-August 5). Montreal First People’s Festival (July 31-August 8), Fantasia International Film Festival (July 19-August 7), Montreal Fashion and Design Festival (August 1-4) and Divers/Cité (July 30-August 5).
Maybe the best thing about Festimania, aside from seemingly endless entertainment possibilities, is the Festipass+, a free (yes, free!) pass that all kinds of benefits, including free admission to certain shows, VIP zones and discounts on tickets, food and merchandise at Just For Laughs, Zoofest, Fantasia, Nuits d’Afrique and more.

The pass can be picked up in person at La Vitrine or ordered online or by phone – and it’s absolutely worth getting, even if a free pass for a multitude of free things sounds too good to be true.
