  • COME-AS-YOU-ARE BAR AND NIGHTCLUB

    Posted by

I love that when I go out in Montreal I can get Mad Men fancy and dress up to the nines (look for my earlier post “Get dolled up at Bleu Blow Dry and Rouge Nail Bar”) – or just tie my hair up in a ponytail, dress down, and nevertheless go out and have a good time. When I feel like doing the latter, which is most of the time, there are two new spots on my radar.

  • LADY GAGA VS. MONTREAL CANADIENS

    Posted by

This take on Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance is absolutely awesome! It was created by the peeps over at Virgin Radio in honour of the Montreal Canadiens (and our stellar goalie, Jaroslav Halak) who are heading into Game 7 this evening against the Capitals of Washington.

There is simply no place like Montreal when it comes to hockey playoffs. GO HABS GO!

The Montréal Buzz posted a photo:	I was in Montreal last winter (February) just after the death of one of my parents. I really needed to get out of Toronto at that time, to reflect, and to surround myself with new stimuli. It was very cold during the visit, but I spent a lot of time walking around anyway, taking photos, going to galleries, and visiting restaurants with old friends. This shot is on Sherbrooke, just west of the Main. I've posted this before, in a flickr pool called "It can't be more Montreal than this". I like this image because it looks like it's very cold out, and yet there are people moving about in what I think is one of the country's most charming cities. Taking the most beautiful place in Montreal, the Old Port, and using it as a backdrop to Montreal's other beautiful feature: the people!
