  • CASBAH CHIQUE THURSDAYS

    Posted by

Belly dancers, rose petals, water ponds, white-washed vaulting ceilings, deep blue oceanic tones, pink bougainvillea flowers cascading from the walls, displays of fresh fish and fruits on ice …

No, this is not an exotic dream on the coast of the Mediterranean. This is Montréal, where things are affordable and pleasure is abundant.
Casbah Chique Thursdays at Trinity Estiatorio are a great example of Montreal’s cultural diversity and sexiness. So what do you need to know?
    1) First, you can come at different hours. Between 5 and 7 you’ll get a lot of people coming out of work, going to network and unwind. Then you’ll get the dinner crowd, mostly between 7 and 10, who enjoy their Greek feast and wine. Meanwhile, cocktail lovers and socialites can gather in the lounge area throughout the evening.

    2) Stay for dinner and you won’t be disappointed – the food is exquisite. It’s prepared by the Ladies of Trinity, four Greek mamas from Athens, Crete and Sparta, who prepare the food as though they were cooking for their sons. Need I say more?

    3) The space is divided in three different areas. There’s the Grand Kitchen Cove, where you can dine while looking over to the open kitchen that is covered by a glass solarium. Then there’s the Wine Cellar area and the North Cove, a lounge area where you can either stand or let yourself sink into one of the hundreds of silk pillows (that’s me).
    4) Dress nice. The name says it: Casbah Chique, where Chique means Chic.
    5) Trinity has the biggest Greek wine cellar in the world outside Greece! Try something new!!! My pick? A glass (or two) of Moschofilero white wine!
    6) There’s a beautiful outdoor patio in front that gives onto Drummond Street, allowing for some very entertaining people watching.
    7) Did I mention percussions and belly dance performances? HOT!
Conclusion? If you’re in town on a Thursday evening and you want to experience something glamorous and out of the ordinary, Casbah Chique is a must on your itinerary.
