  • DEEPAK CHOPRA TO INSPIRE MONTRÉAL

Here at The Montréal Buzz, you’ll find plenty of ways to explore decadence. Whether it’s caloric overload at a mouthwatering Montreal restaurant, getting pampered at one of our fine spas or upgrading your inner fashionista at a local designer’s boutique, there are plenty of ways to indulge oneself.

Montreal is an epicurean’s wet dream.

All the physical and fashion pleasure is wonderful, but sometimes you just need a little soul food. Thank goodness that Deepak Chopra is coming to town.

Known for his teachings in new age spirituality and alternative medicine, Deepak Chopra will be speaking as part of the Autopoetic Ideas Festival – a gathering inspired thinkers and doers in the fields of wellness, consciousness, sustainable living and art.

“Deepak will share his latest work and show you how your highest vision of yourself can be turned into physical reality.  He will discuss how you can become a living cell within the body of a living universe.  You don’t join the cosmic dance-you become the dance. Deepak explains how the greatest spiritual secrets are tied up in this simple answer: “You can’t change the body without changing the self, and you can’t change the self without bringing in the soul,” He declares. “It’s all one process, and it begins with knowing that your body exists to mirror who you are and who you want to be.” You don’t want to miss this unique opportunity!”

Mr. Chopra will be sharing his insight into life at Place des Arts on March 30.

INSIDER TIP: If yoga is a part of your spiritual or exercise routine, then you might want to check out Moksha Yoga, my fave place to get sweaty on the Plateau.

And if you need an introduction to Deepak, here’s his appearance on Ellen!

That morning we packed our bags and sought out crepes for breakfast before heading to the station. I cried while packing because I didn't want to leave - the four days we had spent in the city had been perfect. We decided to take one last stroll while waiting for our train. We walked out to the street only to discover it was closed off for the Pride Parade! I took a few minutes to snap some shots of everyone waiting for the parade to begin. The Montréal Buzz posted a photo:	This is the view from our hotel room when my cousins and I spent the weekend in Montreal last July. The window looks directly up Avenue McGill College, to McGill campus and the mountain. I lived in Montreal during my time at the university, but this weekend was the first time my three cousins had been to the beautiful city. We spent the entire weekend walking up and down St. Denis, eating La Banquise's poutine in Parc La Fontaine, and napping in Parc Jeanne-Mance. But that first view of the city after our arrival at the hotel was definitely a moment that left my newbie cousins in awe of Montreal. The Montréal Buzz posted a photo:	There's something magical about a city that lives below a mountain and it's difficult to express why that is...there's something about Mont Royal and how it watches over Montreal as if its duty is to protect the city day and night. It's also so profound how you can be entrenched in cosmopolitan life and minutes later be surrounded by nature...and those clouds; there's no clouds like the ones over Montreal--surreal and oh so beautiful. The Montréal Buzz posted a photo:	And if Montreal had only one thing, it'd be love - even at the Biodôme!
