  • MONTREAL SHOPPING: T-SHIRTS WITH A TWIST

    Posted by

T-shirt [tee-shurt]  –noun: a lightweight, pullover shirt, usually buttonless and collarless, with a round neck and short sleeves.
Tee-Frame T-shirt [tee-freym tee-shurt]  -noun: limited edition, superior quality t-shirts serving as canvas for independent artists from all over the world and of diverse inspiration. Created by Montreal it-girl Amina Salem and sold exclusively in Montreal. The perfect piece of Montreal fashion to bring with you back home!
If my man could be a piece of clothing, what would he be?
    A T-shirt obviously.
He would look great dressed up or dressed down, would always be comfy and never go out of style.
But since I’m a demanding lady, it would obviously not stop there. My man would have to be a TEE-FRAME T-SHIRT. Made from the smoothest Italian fabrics and hand-painted by creative artistic souls from around the globe. He would be sophisticated, full of good manners, versatile and yet full of street cred.
That’s right. Tee-Frames are not just your usual tees. Created by Montreal it-girl Amina Salem, Tee-Frames are comfort, uniqueness, grace and edginess all at once.
As a shopping tourist, this is the kind of stuff I would want to bring back home. Not too expensive for a designer piece and not a cheap generic item that says nothing about the place I got it from.
Tee-Frames represent a city and a spirit that are open to the world. Rather than pushing fashion forward, Salem’s vision was really to present the t-shirt as a piece of art itself, using the human body and fabric as a means of communication. And just like fine art, the shirts are numbered and signed by the artist.
But make it quick, every t-shirt is a limited edition (100 copies of each). Sold exclusively in Montreal!
