TORONTO PICS MONTREAL: WIN A TRIP TO MONTREAL!

We Montrealers know we live in a pretty special city, but sometimes it takes a fresh set of eyes to see your hometown’s true beauty. Which is why we’ve come up with the Toronto Pics Montréal contest: we’re asking Toronto residents to submit their wonderful photos of our city in order to win a trip for 2 to Montréal with VIA RAIL and the opportunity to become guest photo-bloggers for the Montréal Buzz…

Though our hockey fans may never find common ground, Toronto and Montréal have ample reason to be friends and we’d like to know what you really love about our city. How do you Toronto residents win this wonderful contest? Pretty simple, really. Just submit 1 photo (to which you own the rights) of Montréal along with a caption (25-150 words) that explains the photo and why it represents the Montréal you love.

The photo can be of anything, anyone or anywhere on the island of Montréal that captures, for you, what is so uniquely wonderful about the city. You may submit more than one entry but they must be sent in as separate entries. The winning photograph, which will be judged by members of Tourisme Montreal and the Montréal Buzz Bloggers, will be that which demonstrates to the jury the most creative and/or aesthetically appealing representation of the city of Montréal.

The winner will also be given the opportunity to document their trip as a guest contributor to The Montréal Buzz Blog. Make sure you read the CONTEST RULES, then send along your entry to torontopicsmontreal@tourisme-montreal.org! The contest runs from 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on October 26, 2011 until 11:59 a.m. (Eastern Time) on October 31, 2011.

Montrealers, we wouldn’t forget you! If a Montréal resident refers the winner from Toronto (make sure they mention your name when they submit!), they will win a $100 gift certificate to Le Local.

And what is the prize exactly? It’s pretty special, we think. The winner will win 1 return trip for 2 people from Toronto to Montréal. They’ll travel Business Class on VIA RAIL and receive a 2-night stay in a double occupancy room in a 4 star hotel. This trip may occur anytime before December 20, 2011.
