The 32nd edition of the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal just wrapped up and Just for Laughs is about to begin. But before the laughter starts, let’s take a look back at the 2011 Jazz Fest…

Before everything got started we did a festival preview that gave you some helpful tips on who not to miss. During the fest, our writers reviewed shows put on by Trombone Shorty, Bootsy Collins, Mark Berube, Ernest Ranglin, Steel Pulse, Return to Forever IV, Hugh Masekela, Theophilus London, Men Without Hats and Nikki Yanofsky. We did great interviews with Misteur Valaire, Madeleine Peyroux and Bootsy Collins. Honestly, I’m not even totally sure what Bootsy was talking about at several points in the interview, but man, did it ever sound awesome. We even managed to grab something to eat in-between shows…
