Montreal International Business

Produced in collaboration with the innovative creators of C2 Montréal, Movin’On is a global mobility summit. The event will attract high-level mobility stakeholders, and aims to change the world of mobility through engaging talks and hands-on experiences.

This Year’s Theme is…

What does “mobility” mean in this context? In short, mobility is the movement of people (such as car owners and bus passengers) and goods (such as commercial items and freight). The summit focuses on the importance on collaboration to create multimodal transportation experiences that are not only fluid, but also enjoyable and connected.

The theme of the 2017 event is ‘From Ambition to Action.’ Increasingly, we possess the technology to implement large-scale initiatives to improve mobility. But certain conversations are vital for success. What are the challenges and opportunities of integrating new technologies and AI in the mobility of tomorrow? What breakthroughs will dramatically transform the future of transportation? How do we maximize the economic and environmental potential of the circular economy? These questions are at the core of the summit’s raison d’être.

Location. Location. Location.

Montréal is an intelligent city. We’re not just tooting our own horn — in 2016 we were named the ‘Intelligent Community of the Year’ by the Intelligent Community Forum. We’re also leaders in aerospace, clean energy, and information and communications technology. It makes sense that a convention on the subject of public mobility takes place here.

The summit will take place at a former shipyard — how apropos! — that has been transformed into a site dedicated to contemporary art and cutting-edge events. Arsenal covers a massive 41,000 square feet and includes exhibition space, two commercial art galleries, a catering kitchen, screening room and a magnificent hangar that can be subdivided to host a variety of events (think: fundraisers, galas, concerts or cocktail parties.) Notably, Arsenal is also home to the annual internationally-praised C2 Montréal conference.
