(51,280 m²) of event rental space, including 113 rooms which can accommodate up to 1,950 booths. Award-winning environmental innovations
The roof of the Palais is also crowned with vast rooftop garden where vegetables, fruit and fine herbs are grown and three beehives pollinate all the greenery. This green roof project was launched in 2010 and not only fights the “urban heat island” effect, but also provides a harvest of fresh produce and ingredients for the Palais kitchens, as well as for local community groups. The latest innovation came this summer when the Palais unveiled Canada’s first urban rooftop vineyard and world’s first in northern environment. The Urban Agriculture Laboratory won the AIPC Innovation Award in 2017.
