What happens when you combine one of Montréal’s most exciting business thinktanks with one of the city’s most prestigious hotels and event spaces? Perched on the 21st floor of the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, the C2 Conference Space not only adds to the city’s skyline, but also offers a whole new location – and approach – for meetings, conferences, executive retreats and more.

Achieving lofty ideas

From inspiring brainstorming sessions to year-end celebrations, the C2 Conference Space captures architecturally the innovative and ground-breaking spirit of the annual C2 Montréal, considered one of the most creative conference gatherings in the world. As the annual C2 conference changes the way attendees think about business and groundbreaking new approaches, this physical embodiment of some of the ideas developed there is a fitting leap forward.

As part of the Queen E’s massive renovations, the C2 Conference Space is more than just a high-rise meeting room with a view. An example of true urban innovation, architectural wonder and even local atmosphere thanks to an enviable adjacent rooftop terrace space overlooking Montréal, the possibilities are mind-boggling. The latest in cutting-edge smart technologies can transform the room’s ambiance to suit any requirement from shareholder meeting to artistic performances, while several configurations make the space suitable for gatherings for up to 220 people.

Built in the spirit of collaboration

An example of smart city teamwork, the design of the C2 Conference Space was born from the sky-reaching imaginations at creative firm Sid Lee and Sid Lee Architecture, also responsible for the rejuvenation of The Queen Elizabeth itself for which they were awarded the 2017 INOVA Award given to projects having a positive impact on the surrounding community. The hotel’s overhaul marks the perfect symbiosis between location, function and the ingenuity of Montréal’s creative community.

Redefining what it means to be a downtown flagship hotel, The Queen Elizabeth has returned renovated and rejuvenated as a bustling meeting point with something for everyone from top-notch accommodations, over 50,000 sq. feet of event space, the trend-setting CoLab 3 business hub complete with swings and themed workspaces and an artisanal market specializing in local products. At its summit, the C2 Conference Space is yet another new crown jewel to celebrate.
