Congratulations to the winners of the 2018 Distinction Awards!
In 2017, Montréal celebrated its 375th birthday with a year’s worth of celebrations and commemorative events. And each year, Tourisme Montréal presents the gala Distinction Awards event (previously known as Les Prix Ulysse) to acknowledge and reward the best tourist initiatives in the city. We love Montréal, and the following award winners are amongst those leading the way in sharing that love with tourists from around the world.
Hospitality Award (presented by Air Canada)
Société de développement de l’Avenue du Mont-Royal
Avenue du Mont-Royal is one of the busiest high streets in Montréal’s bustling Plateau neighbourhood, and the SDAMR maintains its vibrancy through business development and special projects and events, making a stroll down the avenue a must for any visitor.

Festival Mondial de la bière
Over its 24 editions, the Mbeer Festival has expanded its operations beyond a beer tasting fest to include a conference for international beer makers, the Greg Noonan Mbeer Contest, and a school of bierology. For the 2018 25th edition, partner festivities will be held in Paris and São Paulo, Brazil.

Transforming the Jacques Cartier bridge into a transportation rainbow over the St. Lawrence, the collaboration between Ponts Jacques Cartier et Champlains, inc. and the Société des celebrations du 375e anniversaire de Montréal not only brightened up the year’s festivities, but shone light on an indispensable icon of Montréal’s skyline.
